Carter's Energy issues

Dear Editor,
I do believe that Carter's new energy program is going to have a great influence on the world in the future. Although he is asking us to give up something that is effiecent to us, it is important that we try and understand that the outcome will be better for us. I thikn it is a very good idea that we conserve on fuel now than later. the less we drive, the less we pollute the air. Carter also created the Department of Energy to promote conservation and to find new ways of energy. I think alternate energy resources could be very beneficial to our society. I do not agree with Carter's idea with nuclear power. I think that nuclear power is dangerous and proposes a threat to the world.
Thank you
Kristina

There were many different goals of conservative politicians in the 1980's and they did multiple different things to accomplish these goals. These politicians formed a political group called "New Right." There key concern was the size of the government and its role in the economy. They soon proposed cutting government-funded social programs. Also, they wanted to restore christian values to society. They wanted to follow the dictates of the Bible and revive traditional values they believed had strengenthened the country in the past. Also one last thing they used the television to appeal viewers to contribute money to their campaign. The politicians had multiple goals in the 1980s.

This song is written by John Lennon recorded by Plastic Ono band. Basically this song is just saying about how the world needs to give peace a chance. They are sick of the violence and fighting and beleive that peace should start spreading throughout the world. They also talk about different people and how they are talking about people and how everyones just talking which causes more fighting. If people stopped talking about other people and just focused on peace the world may experience some of it once in a while.

Are women and men equal in 2010?

Although women have come a long way for their own rights and freedoms, i still beleive that women and men are not equal in 2010. I actually beleive that they will never be equal. I beleive that women never really had a chance at becoming free from all the "sterotypes" given by men. At first they were all called housewives. Then women wanted to be free from this sterotype so the women became independent and rebelled. This rebellion caused women to become more outgoing and wild. This new "way" of living has caused a different way for the men to view women. Now men can view women as "trashy" or just a "piece of meat" or something to look at. I would not say that women did this to themselves because they wanted to become indepenedent and get away from the sterotype of being a housewife. I would say that its just human nature. The way God made us is how men are superior to women. The males are more musculiar and masculine while the females weaker and more feminine. The men are born with these habits of being a "man" and this all started with the creation of human beings. There is basically nothing that we can do about it besdies from what the women have already done. Which is an amazing amount of success from generation to generation.

1) I did know a lot about JFK before the field trip due to class but I did not know much about the Cuban Missle Crisis, JFK's family, and how JFK's wife had a lot to influence the world also. The Cuban Misle Crisis video was very interesting. I learned a lot more and understood a lot better. Also the pictures in the room that we watched the movie in helped me get a better image of where the missles were. Also, in the museum they had a lot of pictures of his family and what they liked to do. I didn't know JFK liked to sail a lot. Also, i did not know how involved Jackie Kennedy was. In the museum, they had a whole section on her and what she did to influence the country. It was very interesting.
2) I felt the museum was the most interesting because we we able to look around the whole place and read what interested us the most. Also, they had many pictures and different events in Kennedy's life that were covered in the museum.
3) To improve the field trip, I beleive they should have more facts and information about his death. I beleive that JFK's death was one of the most interesting things that happened in history and to not have a lot of information on that in the museum is a big dissapointment. I was hoping to find out more about his death. But i truely beleive there is nothing more people can find. It's sad though because we all wish we could know this mystery but as time goes on it becomes impossible.
4) Although i have never met JFK or was not alive while he was president, i truely do beleive he did do enough to be considered one of the best presidents of all time. Throught what i have learned from school and visiting the museum, he had a lot of plans and ideas that changed our country for the better. Being young brought new ideas to his presidency. Although he was not alive he had great plans for the civil rights movement. Johnson had much success with Kennedy's ideas. He also helped a lot with the economy and the poor. The big event where Kennedy took control was with the Cuba Missle Crisis. He also did a good job wiht the Cold war and kept it under control. Throughout his presidency, America was happy. Also America felt safe. With as lot of other presidents you can't really say that we have felt safe. Kennedy was one of those speical people who helped us become successful!

The Butter Battle Book

At the end of the book, the two sides, the yooks and the zooks, will continue to make machines to try and compete with each other. Although they keep making these new weapons, they will never use them against each other. They will just keep fighting through words and threats. At the end, all the other towns around will agree with the butter side up and the yooks will begin to get scared. At the end, the yooks will realize that the butter side up is the way to go. Also, they're will be no more fighting between the zooks and the yooks.
